The Department of Community Medicine focuses on preventive, promotive and social aspects of health, training students to deliver comprehensive primary and community healthcare.
To produce socially responsible doctors competent in community-oriented healthcare delivery.

Theory: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Nutrition, Environmental Health, National Health Programmes
Practical: Field visits, surveys, community diagnosis, demonstrations and health education

- Biostatistics and research facilities
- Community outreach and survey units
- Teaching aids and audiovisual facilities
Integrated teaching with clinical departments is practiced as per CBME guidelines.
